Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a person’s muscles and joints. It is quite different from chiropractic which can treat similar symptoms but where treatments approach aches and pains with small adjustments and mobilisation of joints Osteopathy does the same comprising of longer treatment time – 40 minutes compared to 15 minutes for chiropractic. Osteopathy can not only treat back pain but also muscle and joint pain and stiffness. It is based on the principle that the wellbeing of an individual depends on their bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissue functioning smoothly together.

Treatments can relieve pain in the back, neck, shoulder, groin, hip, arm, hand & headaches. Cranial osteopathic treatment is especially beneficial for children and babies including colic.

Fees: £50 for first consultation & treatment – 1 hour. £42 subsequently – 40 minutes.
