Dr Carolyn Rubens – Medical Acupuncture.
Dr Rubens is a GP who uses medical acupuncture in conjunction with a practical yet holistic approach to her work. She is interested in helping patients manage their own health as much as possible to improve their wellbeing. She has a particular interest in disease prevention and the role of stress underlying disease. Her other main interest is in palliative care and she has worked in the pain clinic at the Royal Marsden cancer hospital since 2004 as well as local hospices.
She can help with the following health problems: Musculoskeletal, headaches and migraines; women’s health; side effects of cancer treatment; fertility problems; pelvic pain in pregnancy; difficulty relaxing or sleeping; stress related problems, internal problems such as abdominal pain, and urinary problems.
Dr Rubens is registered with BUPA and has 14 years experience as a medical acupuncturist as well as her medical and arts background.
