Mahmood Sharifi-Hosseini – Chiropody & Podiatry

mahmoodMahmood (known as Mo) migrated from Iran to study in the UK, qualifying as a podiatrist at the Chelsea School of Chiropody, then part of the University of Westminster.

He has hospital experience, having held a variety of positions in the National Health Service, and has worked also for commercial organisations such as Boots and Scholls.

Mo has a particular interest in biomechanical conditions of the foot and lower limb, treatment of sports injuries and helping children with foot and postural problems. This includes the provision of remedial,custom-made orthotics.

In the field of surgery, he has developed expertise in the treatment of ingrowing toe nails under local anaesthetic, also full or partial nail removal. In 2006 Mo completed postgraduate training in diabetic footcare and is well qualified to look after patients with complications of diabetes, including screening and ulcer management.

He is registered with the Health Professions Council.
