Deidre Waite – Counselling and Psychotherapy

Deidre WaiteDeidre trained at the Wealden Psychology Institute and obtained her Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling in 2013.  Her integrative way of working is drawn from her training in the Person-Centred approach, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, among others.  As well as talking therapy Deidre also works creatively, when appropriate, using objects, stones, painting and sand tray.

Deidre is on the accredited register of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abides by their code of ethics.  She offers counselling to individuals experiencing significant loss and trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and workplace bullying.  She also works with couples to help them find a way through any problems they may be facing in their relationship.  Deidre is a volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Care and has been working with clients since 2009.  She is also a supervisor and a registered trainer for Cruse.

Before obtaining her diploma, Deidre worked in management for a large international firm based in the City of London.  This experience has given her valuable insight into the issues and challenges faced by people in today’s world.
